Your $110 in-person Texas LTC class includes the required training and qualification components needed to complete the instructional portion of the Texas License to Carry process.

What Happens After You Complete the Texas LTC Class?
After you successfully complete the classroom instruction, written examination, range instruction, and handgun proficiency demonstration, you will receive your completed LTC-104 training documentation.
You will then complete the remaining Texas DPS application requirements, including the state application and fingerprinting process. Texas DPS reviews the completed application before issuing the License to Carry.

If a full in-person class does not fit your schedule, you can complete the Texas LTC classroom portion online at your own pace and then schedule the required range instruction and handgun proficiency separately.

How much is the Texas LTC class in Houston?
The In Focus Training in-person Texas License to Carry class is $110 per student. The class includes the classroom instruction, written exam, range instruction, handgun proficiency demonstration, and completion of your LTC-104 training documentation.
How long is the in-person Texas LTC class?
Texas LTC classroom instruction must be between four and six hours. The required handgun proficiency demonstration is completed separately from the classroom instruction. In Focus Training schedules the classroom and range portions together so students can complete both in one class day.
Is the shooting qualification included in the $110 class?
Yes. The $110 in-person class includes the required range instruction and handgun proficiency demonstration.
How many rounds do I need for the Texas LTC shooting test?
The Texas LTC handgun proficiency demonstration uses a 50-round course of fire.
What do I need to bring to the LTC class?
Bring a handgun suitable for the Texas LTC qualification, 50 rounds of factory ammunition, eye and ear protection, closed-toe shoes, and a valid photo ID. Rental firearms and safety equipment are available if needed.
Can I rent a firearm for the LTC class?
Yes. Rental firearms are available for students who do not have their own handgun. Please request a rental when registering so the appropriate equipment can be available for your class.
Is the Houston LTC class beginner-friendly?
Yes. Our classes are designed for both new and experienced firearm owners. Students receive range instruction and practical coaching before completing the handgun proficiency demonstration.
Do I receive my LTC-104 the same day?
Yes. Students who successfully complete the required classroom instruction, written examination, range instruction, and handgun proficiency demonstration receive their completed LTC-104 training documentation.
